Upper Beaches Toronto Real Estate

Directly north of The Beaches neighbourhood on the eastern side of Toronto is the Upper Beaches neighbourhood. That designation is relatively recent, although the actual area has been established for some time. From 2001 to 2003, more homes were built there and the area went through a redevelopment process. During that time, developers began to call the area Upper Beaches, and the name stuck. The city itself calls the neighbourhood East End Danforth, although you won't hear that designation used very often by residents or visitors there. No matter what you decide to call the area, it's a lovely community with a lot to offer its residents.

Houses in the neighbourhood are in the $650,000 price range, which is more affordable than some other areas of the city. There's a lot of benefit to living there, however, because it's close to a number of great amenities to really enjoy. The Beaches neighbourhood is just to the south, so you're close to the water and can go and enjoy the beach and surrounding area. Whether you're single, retired, or raising a family, the beach can be a lot of fun and a great way to relax on a warm day.

Shopping and dining are both close to the Upper Beaches neighbourhood, too. If you find a great home there and want to look for furniture and decor, you won't have to travel far to have some great selections and choices. You can also stop for a bite to eat at one of the cafes or restaurants, where you can get a meal or a snack. There are parks and green spaces to explore, as well, and they can get excellent places to take a stroll, play with your kids, or just sit and relax in the beauty of nature so you can start feeling right at home.
